Camping Village Lido del Mare

Nightmare village...too many strange things: -we booked the full board hotel formula to have a bit of relaxation but it was more stressful than ever: meal times were unacceptable -breakfast 8am-9am -lunch 1pm-2pm -dinner 8.00pm-9.00pm You have to eat quickly, the vulture-like waiter puts your plate on and takes it away in a flash. And with a newborn, respecting such strict schedules is truly unthinkable. (Obviously it is not the waiter's fault but the directives received) - Reception/availability are optional: Only someone says a good morning and smiles, if you are tired at the end of August don't take reservations, unfortunately there are those who have worked all summer and are waiting for the holidays to relax. I asked for an empty plate to take to the room to feed the little one (to try to be on time for the paid meals) and it was given to me with great difficulty (only Mrs. Elisa, later, was very kind and available in accordance with my futile request). -Quality of food and services: Even the quality takes its time...for 7 days (lunch and dinner) always the same: courgettes, aubergine, salad and friggitelli... first courses, second courses and pizza acceptable. Breakfast?!?! and here we draw a pitiful veil. You can't have breakfast in the internal room, only outside!! With cool and rainy days (with a newborn) we asked for the courtesy of eating at the table reserved for lunch and dinner but it was not possible! You can ONLY eat outside!!!! I don't know how long the cakes have been on offer, but it's even more absurd... for those who have PAID their board (full or half) the empty and cold (old) croissants are reserved to be filled independently; while the fresh, hot and stuffed croissants in the dough, are reserved for those who stay in the houses and decide to have breakfast at the bar. If I wanted one of the "good/fresh" croissants I would have to PAY FOR IT" 😱😓🤔 And the cost of coffee and espresso?!? I haven't understood it yet... it varies based on I don't know what €2.60, €2.40, €2.80🤔🤔 And you must request the receipt, it is at the customer's discretion. -Security...equal to zero. Anyone can access the village without any control; outsiders can book a seat at the bar/restaurant (which is why village guests have to eat quickly). Zero camera/security circuit. If something disappears from me or the dog or the child, it's my fault for "leaving them unattended". If you come back at night the barrier is open and there is no guard. (crazy stuff) -Last and not least negative aspect, because I wouldn't know how to give a priority to all these negative notes: -PET FRIENDLY VILLAGE 🤔What would be the service for animals?🤔 There are no water systems for rinsing pee/poop There is no tripping area I can keep the dog in the room or take it around like many other facilities that "Accept" animals. ONLY POSITIVE NOTE... Mrs. Nicoletta who does the cleaning; delightful, loving and very sweet person and the animator Marika who honored her work as chief animator 😉 Moral of the story... just as we waited for the holidays to arrive, we hoped they would end. TO NEVER AGAIN. Ps: Mr. Vincenzo, I look forward to your response, but please don't make promises of improvement that you can't keep...

Beautiful holiday in this simple but delightful structure, we spent 15 wonderful days in August in a two-room apartment for 4 people. Furnishings a little dated but functional, shame about the absence of a bidet in the bathroom. For the children it was a unique experience, the pool is small but well maintained. I would add bar service at least in the afternoon and a few more umbrellas. The nearby sea, often rough and therefore not always clear. Despite this we had a great time, especially thanks to the entertainers who gave us so many fun moments, always managing to involve everyone. There is a nice opportunity to buy fresh fish and fruit and vegetables thanks to the trucks that enter the village every day. We really enjoyed the evening shows, the respect for silence after lunch, the speed and kindness in solving the small problems reported and above all the great affection of all the entertainment staff who won the hearts of our children.
